Hello there!

Just me again trying to help things along in anticipation of the next version of Project Apollo.

The purpose of this topic is to get you introduced to editing sound with an open source system called Audacity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Now the first thing is obviously the ole RTFM!!!!

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/documentation Which of course is important because there is a good deal of features and it helps to have a basic understanding of the layout.

Now to help expand your knowledge further I strongly suggest you go over these tutorials.

http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tutorials

Then obviously tips are always great! http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Tips

Then it helps if you look over the forum and of course search to find answers to hopefully any problem you are having http://audacityteam.org/forum/

Later I will post screenshots of how I extract a piece of audio from one of my shuttle recordings.
