Why does the launch autopilot on Apollo 8 behave so bizare suddenly ? It pitches up and down much more erratically than it used to and the SECO is one minute later than before 12:30 instead of 11:30. Before it worked fine??  I recently did a CVS update and recompiled. Sorry to sound rude its just a bit frustrating because I can no longer do a TLI without adding more fuel.

Ok I think I fixed my own problem. For others with this issue, simply add these lines into the apollo 8 scenario:

  SIFUELMASS 2117000.000
  SIIFUELMASS 441600.000
  S4FUELMASS 106100.000
  SIEMPTYMASS 148000.000
  SIIEMPTYMASS 45890.000
  S4EMPTYMASS 14880.000

It seems the S4 was to heavy as before it was around 25000!!

Thanks, this fixes the problem for me.

I think I have located the bug, it is due specifically to the vehicle number and looks like its being caused by work on the LVDC++.
Its line 1529 in saturn5.cpp that looks suspect, it sets the SIVB empty mass to 25512, which looks like it includes the LTA weight.

The LTA wieght is then added again later.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks so much for this! I just encountered this problem during TLI and was about to go do the whole prelaunch setup again.
