Hi, this is my first post on this forum  Cool
I just downloaded Orbiter (2006) and my comp should be able to handle it. But for some reason it's not doing so great. It's a 2.00GHz processor, which is beyond the minimum requirements, am I right?
Being in space I can get around 300-75fps and with a planet or on a planet I can only get 1-3fps.
This is really irritating  Bangs Head 2 does anyone know why or how I can increase my fps?

BTW I've had experience with sims, I have FSX and X-Plane 9, both of which can get around 20-30 fps, or better.

When you launch Orbiter (before selecting a scenario), click the "video" tab.
What is selected for "3D Device"?

"RGB Emulation" will probably give low framerates.  Try selecting a different mode.

I have a problem as well, How do I put a launch icon on my desktop without going in to the program files?
