Hi everyone,
Having a few issues with the P52 alignment on Apollo 8. The optics covers seem to stay attached so of course you cant see through the telescope/sextant. Is there a proceedure for loosing these or do they come of during staging? I dont have this problem with Apollo 7.

Cheers

Until recently, the optics covers weren't modeled, but now they have been. After launch, you're supposed to rotate the sextant all the way to the left and right to dislodge the cover.

Alle the way to the right does the trick.  Happy
