Why can't i do a CVS update, is CVS down? I've been trying to do one all day but it always says:
Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password
cvs.exe [update aborted]: Error reading from server cvs.sourceforge.net: 0: Invalid argument
Error, CVS operation failed

If you keep trying over and over again it eventually works.
Something is wrong with sourceforge. It's been going on for a few days now.

I am currently getting this error attempting update also. Is this still a current problem? Couldn't find a current thread on it.
C Project Apollo - NASSP/Flightplan Scenarios/Apollo 8.scn
Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password
Error, CVS operation failed
Tortoise Tip: CVS tried to create a new file and discovered that the file already existed. There can be
several causes for this:
1) You have created the file locally, and someone else added a file of the same name to CVS.
2) Your sandbox has become corrupted (possibly due to interference from antivirus programs).
To solve the problem: Rename or delete the affected files, then perform a CVS Update.
Thanks.

I can't explain it better than the Tortoise Tip...
Other than that CVS is working fine for me, but perhaps there was a breakdown the last days.

Well, I installed everything correctly as per the Wiki page. I haven't modified anything other than added Orbiter sound and Moon/Earth high rez textures. Hmm. I am ignorant about CVS, and a newbie.

Well that was a no-brainer.
Thanks, Tschachim, it worked.
