* ALL CURRENT VERSIONS OF MY RE-FORMATTED CHECKLISTS *
*   Created from the word-checklists by pattersoncr                  *

     E - CSM ENTRY CHECKLIST
     L - CSM PRELAUNCH & LAUNCH CHECKLIST
     G - CSM G&C CHECKLIST
     S - CSM SYSTEMS CHECKLIST

***

Hi all,

Before I discovered this site (and NASSP), I began to re-create Apollo checklists so I could print them out like they were new.

I had done the original Apollo 16 Launch Checklist (up to chapter 5). Missing the graphs and the abort-mode-lines.
It is formatted on Portrait A5-size.

I have also done some of the pages from the Apollo Operations Handbook, and added a section 3 containing the CSM power-up procedure from the NASSP wiki.
This is on landscape A4-size.

Have also attached my template for Flight director's mission log, also on landscape A4-size.

The reason for the A4/A5-sizes are because I live in Norway. American sized-versions should not be much trouble.

They are all in PDF-format so that all fonts and formatting is contained, and not getting "influenced" by everyones word-processing programs.
The originals are in Open Office-format.

I would appreciate your thoughts on these, and if I should try to complete some of them.
Maybe the Checklists for Apollo 7 (for us with Orbiter and NASSP), if anybody has them available.

     Cheers
  Kristoffer

I have now done the BACKUP CREW PRELAUNCH-section of the word-checklist that comes with NASSP.

I have switched fonts from the ones I posted earlier, to get even closer to what the originals look like.

This is formatted on a half-letter paper size.

Great. Finally somebody takes care of them. Happy

You may want to amend the following to the pre-launch cl:

paragraph 9 (ORDEAL check): this can all be printed in normal (black) letters instead of grey; the ORDEAL is functional long-since.
paragraph 14 (prime crw pre-ingress): insert 'POT TK IN vlv - OPEN' (panel 352) below 'Perform Pot Water Chlor'; maybe we can't chlorinate the potable water, but we should at least open the valve to the tank...

If you come to the G&C checklist, say a word. My printed version is scribbled over with corrections. Wink

After quite a long time away, Iíd like to get involved with the project again.  Iím going back though and updating the word based checklists.  If anyone has corrections or recommendations, please let me know and Iíll try to incorporate them.
Iím also going through the Apollo 8 mission and updating things as I go.

meik84, please let me know what corrections you have to the G&C Checklist

Additional info on the word based checklists is in this post:

pattersonch:
Hope you don't mind that I base my work on your work.
I just wanted to create checklists that looked more like the originals.

Here is btw. a pdf of the launch checklist including Saturn V Boost.

Okay... Wink
That's what I found on the first pass of my notes:
V48: the SIVB takeover stuff is now/will be functional; the line with 'use orbiter default control' is obsolete
V01N10: that's missing. A reference table for the bit positions of the channels would be good, too.
P37: I guess I better send you a new written paragraph; the present procedure won't work in all cases
P52: insert 'key V22E. Select desired option.' below the option listing of F 04 06
Rapid IMU realign: delete V40N20E. Insert V42E,E,E,E
SCS ORDEAL init: see above; the procedure from the CSM operations manual should work
More when I got time. There're still some things that will come back to my mind when I go through the cl more deeply.

meik84,
I've already updated my working copy with the ORDEAL stuff.
I was looking for a little more info on the Saturn Takeover.  I think all there is to it is to set up the DAP correctly and place the LV Guid switch in CMC.  Can you confirm?
I'll look into the other stuff as well.

Northlight,
Have at it!
pdf is probably a better format than word once we get things nailed down and get away from having to make frequent changes.  Ideally I'd like to see letter size and A4 size versions in CVS.
I'll keep updating the word stuff then let you polish it up.

Roughly speaking, yes. I'd simply copy para. 4.7.1.7 on page 262 of the AOH, Vol. 2.
Note that SIVB takeover wasn't always possible during a mission, i.e. on AP 7 this was only possible during coast flight, but not during powered flight and it did only work on the SIVB, but not on the SIB. Unfortunately, this regime differed from mission to mission; I've got to dig deeper in literature on that.

From my attempts during AP8 and 11, I couldn't perform a CMC takeover even during powered flight, LVDC++ limitations notwithstanding; the simplex autopilot also restricted me to coasting flight takeover only.

On AP 7 it definitely works.
And it will work with the next update of LVDC++ on both Saturn IB and V. Wink

Meik84,
What does N01V10 do?
Do you have a reference?

It's V11N10 to be most precisely (V01 is just display, V11 is monitoring).
V11: Monitor octal component 1 in R 1
N10: Channel to be specified

Or, less 'CMC-ish' said, it allows to monitor the input/output channels of the CMC. See p.27 of the AP15 G&C checklist for the procedure. Note that the channel bit assignment list applies to Artemis; we use Colossus 249, maybe there are some differences there. I've seen the listing for 249 somewhere, but I can't remember where... Confused
