We got all but today (6/24/2006) posts copied to the old forums. So anything from then will need to be re-posted. Plus the old site is avaliable at http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforumold

Hi Rob,

I have a small proposal/idea: I understand the renaming of the forum URL, but this has a problematic side effect: We're using links to other posts within the forum quite frequently (http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=523.0 for example) and now all old links aren't working anymore. But now the old forum is locked and not attackable anymore, so if the old forum is available at the phpBB2 URL again, all links would be work again.

Cheers

Ok so I understand you want me to put the old forum back at the older phpBB2 directory. If that so  I will do it tonight when I get home.

When you do that, you should remove or rename whatever PHP file is used for posting, to ensure that nobody can generate new threads on the old board, then add a robots.txt to make Google and such stop indexing it.

Thanks, now the old forum is available here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/phpBB2/
I suggest to disable new user registration, too, a new spam user registered today.

Cheers
