Hi All,

AndyMc posted about some NASA 3D resources in the Orbiter forum: http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=5709
As a quick test, I converted their LM to Orbiter's MSH format, screenshot and zip file is attached. But given the rather poor quality I don't think it's very useful.

Cheers

I'm wondering that NASA does provide such less detailed and inaccurate 3D models. I was already disappointed that they provide inaccurate historic "comics" of Apollo (which is not the very best way to present historic space flight stuff I think). They really should change the kiddy-style information and eduaction stuff in my point of view.

Anyway, I think that our current LM looks still better. But the new LM ascent stage by FordPrefect looks awesome. I can't wait to see it finished and included. Maybe we should send a copy to NASA later on, to show those guys how historic 3D models have to look like Wink

Yeah, even our old LM looks better. I converted the "Apollo - Soyuz", too, and it's even worse. But at least they have high-res models of the Shuttle and the ISS, but I didn't take a look at them.

Cheers
