The ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database is the world's largest source of education information. It contains more than 850,000 abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice.

An information system of the U.S. Department of Education, ERIC is a nationwide network of 16 clearinghouses.

Each clearinghouse acquires current education materials in its subject field. Among these materials are curriculum guides, teaching units, bibliographies, journal articles, and research reports.
