Whew. It's been a busy week. Good thing it is practically over, yay!
We shot three bands last week-
can joann
bazungu
tad dreis
and all the shoots went quite well. Look for them to air before long.
We have two produced videos in various planning stages. If your band wants to do a produced
video, email me very soon!
STV turns 20 on October 6th. We are all stoked about it and have planned a whole day's worth of festivities for Saturday October 4th:
12:45 - Meet at studio to go to game
6:00 - Meet at studio for dinner @ Breadman's
9:00 - Party
Directions: Get on Franklin St headed towards Carrboro. Stay on it until it turns into Main St. At the stop light where you see Wendy's, turn left(Greensboro St). Drive under the overpass(Greensboro st turn into Smith Level rd). The house is on the left side of the street, directly across from Carramore, a building that looks like a church. It is the light blue one between the two red brick houses. 601 Smith Level Rd 919-942-7071
Join in any and all of the excitement! Or at least wish us happy birthday.
Episode 5 is in final editing. I swear. It will be beaming to your homes within days.
OOh! And the Johnson St/Music Seen house is looking for a roommate. We have a
temporary guy named Greg who is awesome, but he is going to leave. And it's lonely with
no one across the hall. You can walk to campus! Or bike. Or bus. We have a fern and
sometimes tofutti cuties. Call 414-8246 or email

Thanks to Allyson, Danyele and Craig for leading us through such an awesome year!
Matt and I are really looking forward to working with you.
Please use Sarah's email address, huxhold@email.unc.edu, to contact The Music Seen.

Email Sarah! Say hi! You can even call her Pippi (if you want.)
Come out to STV's general interest meeting next Wednesday, September 3. Help us look cool and convince
people to join us.
Other than that, We have tons of great footage that should be edited shortly, and keep your eyes open,

The STeVies
April 26, 2003.
The STeVies are the STV-wide awards given to the casts and crews of
various shows. First we as a show picked what we thought was our best stuff,
and then the STV board screened and voted those picks. The ones that
got the most votes move on to the next round... actual STeVies nominees!
We got Official STeVies Nominations for:
Best Show (!!!)
Best Producer (!!!)
Best New Show
Best Videography: Craig Boyer's Eyes to Space video
Best Editing: Allyson Shaffer's Ten Missing Days video
Best Fight Sequence: Robbie Mackey and Johnny Tunnell in Ian's Mad Capsule Markets video
Best Hair: Danyele McPherson
Congrats to all the other shows who are nominated for various stuff.
Also, some members of our crew got nominated!
Congrats to Ian Cann and Jessica Tardieu for being nominated for Best
Male and Best Female respectively, and also for your nominations as
Best Rookie!
Wish us luck guys! Also, sometime in the near future the public will
be able to vote for People's Choise awards for the STeVies! I'll let
you know when this is, and you come out and cast your votes for us!
Watched all our videos 1000 times and still want more? No fear - the
5th episode will be out soon. Until then, check out
this great
remix/video of a popular tune. Kittens from Norther England rock!

The STeVies (STV-wide awards) are set for April 26 (Sat). Each show nominates their choice for the
various categories, then the board votes, deciding - more or less -
the final nominations and winners. I don't know who the final
nominees will turn out to be, but here's who our show decided on:
BEST MALE: Craig Boyer. (This means he's the manliest).
BEST FEMALE: Allyson Shaffer. (This means I'm the least manliest.
BEST DUO: Sarah Maine and William Jones from the Ten Missing Days video.
BEST ROOKIE: Ian Cann. (Congrats, Ian!)
BEST VIDEOGRAPHY: Craig's Eyes to Space video
BEST WRITING: More of the same. Craig's cleaning up.
BEST EDITING: Allyson, for the Ten Missing Days video.
BEST MONTAGE: The Cesar Comanche video, edited by none other than Craig.
BEST FIGHT SCENE: Robbie Mackey and Johnny Tunnell in Ian's party video.
BEST HAIR: Danyele McPherson. (If we don't win this one, we're gonna riot).
BEST ON SCREEN PERSONALITY: Matt from XBA.

Premiere Night was awesome - we had a big crowd come out, we ate
Little Debbies and watched the episode. Thanks to everyone who came
out. Episode 4: Cahill Lives! will now be airing in our regular time
slot.

Seen Award Show.
Here's some important dates to keep up with:

^ April 26 (Sat). The STeVies - the award show for everyone at STV.
Note that this is SAT the 26th not FRI the 25th!!
Important dates! Tattoo them on your forehead like this young lady did.
March 26 (Wed) at 10:20. Premiere Night!
Watch STV all night to see new episodes from all shows,
but especially watch at 9pm to see the Music Seen's new "produced" episode,

studio... yippee...
April 22 (Tue). First Annual Music Seen Awards Show!
Taking place in the theater in the (old) Union, bands will be playing,
awards will be dispensed, and people will be hanging out! More details
to come.
April 25 (Fri). The STeVies.
This is the award show for all of STV... there is a date auction several
days beforehand. If you win, be the person's date to this event. Sooo...
watch out for that, Music Seen crew = looking soooooo good.
Also: The party went well, and pictures will be posted
at some point in the future. To get your fix until then, 1)check out
pictures from the Nov. Music Seen party here and
