Burmese military regime has implemented it new
technology projects of telephone
and telecommunication
project, that provide communication
from the capital
Division, accordingly to telecommunication
officers.
The project started since the beginning of this year
and Burmese military regime
authorities have dug the
canals alongside of the Rangoon-Tavoy motor highway
for hiding the cables.
“It was about three feets in depth
and two feets in
width canal. Underneath
of the canal, they dig
another small cannel for hiding 6
inches diameter
plastic pipe,” Nai
Sike reported.
“I saw the sodiers are diging the cannel with machines
and they put the pipe and some new
electric wires
alongside of the canal. They also
put some signboard
that written it is dangerous,” Nai Sike said.
A telecommunication officer who is also a military
commander in Yepyu
said, “it is an upgrading
communication system that benefit
to the people to
have access to communication and
later for internet.”
“But it is difficult to say that is benefit to people.
I think it is for army. It can be small benefit to
people. In my experience there is
nothing that
military did special programs for
the people. Althouth
the authorities promised there
would be electricity
for the people during they built Kanpauk- Myaing-kalay
gas pipeline and later they transmited, but the people
have received nothing,” Nai Mon Htaw, a Mon community
leader said.
The Burmese soldiers took tight security in
construction of canals for
connecting the electric
wires and the soldiers themselves
dug the canal in
some areas.
The canal is laid alongside of Kanpauk-Myaing-kalay
gas pipeline and most of the equitment and cable wires
using in it are imported from
the telecommunication officer.
According to Nai Sike report, some part of
transmitting canal completed
