5 Mon Migrant Workers died in Puket

12 Burmese migrant workers who working in Puket killed

by the tsunami that drove through the Andaman Sea on

Sunday according to an NGO who searching the death on

migrant said.

 

“The death of migrant workers working in Khoa-Lat-Si

and they were fishing worker,” said Nai Banya Mon from

Stella Maris Seafarers Center, who searching the

number of the death of migrant worker.

 

“5 of the death migrant workers are from Lamine Town,

Southern Mon State and they are Mon,” IMNA source

said.

 

“Three of the five were identified and they were Nai

Shane 45, his son and Nai Kamarwark,” added the

source.

 

“We will continued searching the death in other area

in the next days and we hoped the death number of

migrant worker will increased,” Nai Banya Mon added.

 

In Thailand, hundred of migrant workers joined in

fishing job and fishing in Andaman Sea.

 

“We worried to our Burmese and Mon peoples fishing in

the sea for them was very dangerous in this

situation,” Nai Win Naing who closed to Burmese

migrant workers working in fishing in Southern

Thailand said.
