establish an organization on Saturday in Tokyo to support the
democracy in Myanmar ( Burma ).
Attorney Shogo Watanabe, who belongs to Lawyers'group
supporting Myanmar residents in Japan, and about 20 others will
hold the inaugural gathering of the People's Forum on Burma from

Kinen-Kaikan near JR and subway Ochanomizu Station in Chiyoda Ward,
The group said all those interested in the situation in
Myanmar are welcome to attend. The group plans to urge the Japanese
government and other influential organizations to put pressure on the
Myanmar military government, which has oppressed the democratization
movement and kept democratic leader Aung San Suu Kyi confined.
A video depicting Myanmar and traditional songs and dance of
the country will be shown at Saturday's meeting.
