We had a Black Tern at Lookout Shoals Lake in Catawba County this afternoon.
It was molted about 90% into its basic plumage. We also had several hundred
swallows including Purple Martins, Cliff, N. Rough-winged, and Barn. There
was also an Osprey cleaning its talons by dragging them through the water.
