Scissor-tailed flycatchers

Monroe, NC

This morning between 9 AM and 9:30 AM I watched both the male and female
scissor-tailed flycatchers. I managed to see the female in the top
structure of the tower and she appeared to be sitting on a nest. Since
the spot is so high up, I could not see the nest. All I could see was a
ST's tail sticking up.

We have been seeing the birds more often lately. Shortly the young
should be hatched and there will be feeding activity. Good times to see
the birds are still early AM or late afternoon or evening.
