Hi,
Water is going down (there were some 3-4 feet of new mud), there are
more birds near the bridge and more birdwatchers (some with nice
camouflage with mud up to knees)! That's great!
I didn't count all staff today, was studying Western Sand. and Wilson's
Phalarope juvenile plumage.
However there we some 25 Western, 2 Semipalmated, 5 Least, 5 Wilson's
Phal., 6 juv. Short-billed Dowitchers, 1 ad Balck-bellied Plover in a
distance, 17 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Greater Yellow. (just arrived when I
was leaving the spot) and 3 juv. Black Terns and 1 adult Snowy Egret. We
didn't see Marbled Godwit.
I am not able to go tomorrow but hope you will have a lot of good birds!
Mike
