I had to take a day of vacation or lose it, so I went to Raven
Rock State Park this morning. I missed a couple of species that I'd
hoped to see but I did tally nine species of warblers. Here's the
list:
Northern Parula
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-and-White Warbler
Prairie Warbler (heard only)
Yellow-throated Warbler
Hooded Warbler
Ovenbird (heard only)
Common Yellowthroat (heard only)
American Redstart
There's lots of water at Raven Rock. The lower end of the Little
Creek Trail was under water this morning.
