Re: Blue-headed Vireo nest photo opportunity

I just read this posting, having been in Clemson at the Carolina Bird
Club meeting over the weekend. (Fun time, good birds and good people!)

According to the Birds of North America account of the Blue-headed
Vireo, the species is very sensitive while building the nest, and birds
may abandon the nest when observed. Once the eggs are laid, they seem to
tolerate people pretty well.

I was shocked to read that, having watched a pair building their nest
myself some years ago.
