Hello all,
More on a whim than anything else, I monitored the hawkwatch site near
Mt. Pisgah this weekend for 4 hours. The first migrants are moving
(trickling) through. Total for the weekend (2 hours Sat. am, 2 on Sun.
pm):
Broad-winged Hawk - 15
Osprey - 1
Am. Kestrel - 6
This year's "Raptor Day" event will be on September 25, for all of you
not going to Charleston. The watchsite is located at milepost 404.5 on
the Blue Ridge Parkway just north of Mt.Pisgah.
I'm still looking for a copy of the Nature series episode entitled
"Rulers of the Wind" if anyone knows the whereabouts of a copy I could
duplicate (I do have permission from the producers). Thanks a bunch!
