Am. Redstart

Hello,

I got my first migrant of the Fall season yesterday, and she was back
this afternoon. (Female Am. Redstart). No big deal to most, but for
me, living in the center of Cary, it's a big deal! I'm going to miss
my little wildlife habitat! Last spring was great for me in that I saw
a male Redstart, but this time this female bird is very cooperative. I
have a circulatory birdbath, and she loves it!! I believe she likes the
mosquitos around the water, because she dances back and forth right near
the surface of the water. And yes she is bathing often.

Question: I'm seeing more eye disease in my H. Finches than ever
before. Am I contributing to this in some way? I keep my seed as dry
as I can, and since we have had a dry summer, I don't understand. I
would appreciate any information on this subject. I am moving to Falls
Lake in three weeks, and I want to know if there is anything I can do to
prevent this disease.

Thanks,
