stopped on 751 bridge on my way home. much more water than last week but the
shorebirds were still in abundance. what was mud is now covered with green
grass but the birds were there along the edges and back in the grass.
killdeer and yellowlegs too numerous to count. peeps but too far away for me
to id and mostly hidden by the grass. immature little blue heron among the
numerous great blues and great egrets. two bald eagles, one immature and one
adult. one spotted spotted sandpiper and one winter plumage avocet among the
yellowlegs and peeps. they seem to consistently congregate in one area. also,
a mixed flock of mallards and wood ducks.
things seem to be on the move.
