Janet and I went to the Sandhills Turf Farm yesterday (monday) and except
for one very elegant buff-breasted sandpiper, three other birders from
Raleigh, there was nothing there besides killdeer (25), and a about 15
horned lark.

>Strange. Grassland sandpipers and plovers seem to be showing up in some
>numbers in a number of locations. In 1998, the Sandhills Turf Farm got its
>share. This year has been different. The only shore birds that have shown
>up are varying numbers of Killdeer.
