post-Floyd Jordan

Well he huffed and puffed, but did not blow our house down. (Or anything
else in the yard for that matter, even the hummingbird feeders stayed where
we asked them to). Hopefully everyone else out there weathered the storm
as well as we did in the Apex area.

I stopped by Jordan Lake before heading in to work this morning and met
Will Cook scanning from the Farrington Bridge. Will pointed out several
large groups of turns wheeling about, mainly Forster's and Common. A
couple of larger terns were present as well, I spotted a Caspian from the
bridge near Crosswinds Marina (which was open). Several Bald Eagles took
the opportunity to stretch their wings, and the vultures were thick, but
not much else to report.
