Despite several attempts throughout the day, the Red Phalarope that we found
yesterday was not relocated. Stephen Harris e-mailed that he tried this
morning and Dom & Emma D'Ostillio searched around the entire northeastern
part of the lake for three hours this afternoon. We searched for two hours
this evening with no luck. We did, however, have a Mute Swan----presumably
domesticated. Also present were 5 Pied-billed Grebes, several Coots, 2
Great Blue Herons, 2 Double-crested Cormorants, and 3 Tree Swallows. Dom
and Emma reported seeing both a Kestrel and an Osprey over the lake earlier
in the day. We'll be checking again tomorrow and let you know if we see it.
