Hi all, while trying to make one of the two fighting Hummingbirds into
something other than ruby-throated, I looked down on the grass under the seed
feeder, and there were two d.e. Juncos, the earliest date in 13 yrs for my
yard. Both appeared to be 1st yr birds, with considerable brown streaking on
their backs. Quite a contrast, hummers and "snowbirds". Also today the 1st
Orange-crowned Warbler, a pair of Blue-headed Vireos, and a Swainson's
Thrush, plus the usual yard gang.
