Subject: RFI; NC Outer Banks/warbler quest

Prompted by the attainment of Connecticut and Kirtland's Warblers
in Michigan earlier this year, I decided to set a goal of attaining
all 38 species of regualrly-occuring, eastern warblers before the
year was out. With the exception of Orange-crowned, I now have
them all. Unless I get one close home before Thanksgiving, I'll be
looking elsewhere.

Taking into consideration time and finances, my best bet seems
to be the Outer Banks and specifically, Buxton Woods. Therefore,
I'm looking for recommendations regarding accommadations and
eateries in that area. Since I'll be concentrating on Buxton Woods
in the mornings but, also wanting to bird Pea Island later in the day,
I would like to be centrally located between the two. The area
around Rodanthe and Salvo seems to be the likely spot. If you have
first hand information or, recommendations for this area, please let
me know.

Or, if you hear of any regularly occuring Orange-crowned's this
winter that are within a day's drive of northern WV, please let
me know that also.

I may have already received the consolation prize in that, an
Orange-crowned Warbler just happened to be caught and banded
on the only day that I decided to visit the AFMO banding station
this year. I saw it fly off towards the great unknown but, it didn't
appear to be headed for the Outer Banks.

And yes, I have John Fussell's Book.
