Clean up those grungy bird feeders before the prime bird-feeding season.
Bring them to Wild Birds Unlimited, at 1997 Hendersonville Road in
Asheville, on Saturday, Nov. 13, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
For a contribution of $3 per feeder, volunteers from Elisha Mitchell
Audubon and Wild Birds Unlimited will take your feeder apart and wash it
with a power washer! While you wait.
Proceeds go to Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary.
Remember, a dirty feeder can spread disease to the birds. Clean that
feeder! and help the Sanctuary. Hope to see you there.
Want to help out? call 828/254-7618 or email eljeep@mindspring.com.
If the Feeder Wash is inconvenient or inappropriate for you, feel free to
write a big tax-deductible check to Elisha Mitchell Audubon (PO Box 18711,
Asheville, 28814) and mark it for Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary.
Work is well along on the new wetlands project, and other improvements will
come in the next few months. cheers --
