On Tues. Nov 10, I birded at Sunset Beach, the southernmost barrier island
in NC during the tropical weather with a southerly wind. I saw 5-6 Cave
Swallows late in the day, but this AM, did not see them. Ironically I had
one Snow Bunting at that spot this morning. The swallows were foraging at
the west end of the island, but generally flying west along the coast on
Tues., heading toward SC & GA. This may be related to the more northerly
sighting of these species reported last week on Birdchat.
