I was able to get to the mountain this morning to see what was moving
ahead of the impending frontal system.
Today's totals:
Hours -- 3
Red-tailed Hawk -- 7
Cooper's Hawk -- 1
Black Vulture -- 8
Turkey Vulture -- 4
There was lots of activity among the local Turkey Vulture mob, and the
local ravens were harassing nearly everything that passed. The 3
resident Red-tails are still present and hunting actively.
A flock of 6 Evening Grosbeaks crossed the overlook moving southeast at
about 10 AM, providing an excellent viewing opportunity. Lots of
goldfinches, too.
