Folks,
Today I had a job to do in Scotland Neck and while driving along highway
258 I saw what I believed to a Screeh Owl zip accross the road. It was
about twice the size of a mouning dove and very rust brown colored. The
shape was very compact giving me the impression of it being a Screeh Owl.
I know were having these other owls coming down our way and being I`ve
never seen either the N. Saw-whet Owl nor a Short-eared Owl I just
figured it was a Screeh Owl. Any insight on this?
Also seen were 2 Red-tailed Hawks, 3 N. Harriors and many Kestrels.
