The ROSS' GOOSE that John Fussell reported last night was still in the fields
behind the Food Lion in Beaufort, NC this morning as of 10:00am. It was the
first Ross' Goose I have ever photographed. The bird is still associating
with one Snow Goose. Thanks for the report John.
I checked a few of the local "hot spots" while I was in the area, but did not
really turn up anything noteworthy. No interesting gulls at the Morehead
Sewage Treatment plant. I did see and photograph five (5) RED-COCKADED
WOODPECKERS in a group on Pringle Road in the Croatan Forest on the way home.
