Last season we too had a Carolina chickadee pair with 2 broods in a
birdhouse hanging by the kitchen window. Within days of the second
hatchlings leaving the nest, a pair of house wrens removed the nesting
materials, dumped them on the ground, and brought in their own stuff. The
chickadees are back in the house now. It will be interesting to see if the
same thing happens this year.
