Re: Durham NC spring count



P.S.  The heronry at Knap of Reeds is doing great -- I counted 18 active 
nests and about 40 birds (about half of them chicks).  And another species 
that apparently was decimated by the big freeze is E. Phoebe -- I saw only 
one!  It'll be interesting to see how many other counts in the area find.
