Yesterday I visited the ponds on the MC campus twice, once in the
morning and again in the evening. The only warbler on which I got a good
id was a yellow-rump. On one of the ponds that is surrounded by woods I
found a d-c cormorant! That was a new species for the campus, at least for
me. I also got a good long look at a species that I saw on Saturday but
wasn't able to id at that time: yellow-throated warbler. That was a life
bird for me.
Now if I can just find hooded and yellow warblers. . . .
