The Vermilion Flycatcher decided to hang around in Wayne Co NC
through the night. John Wright, Brad Carlson and Ken Harrell came from
Greenville and Sharon Funderburk from Castalia to join Eric in seeing him
first thing this morning.
Directions again are:
Coming in to Goldsboro on 70 E take 13 & 117 S to the Cherry Hospital exit.
This will be Ash St, which turns into Stevens Mill Rd in Cherry Hospital.
Drive straight thru CH and between the 2 prisons adjoining hospital
property. Turn left onto the first dirt road/driveway beyond the prisons.
Continue on this as it forks right and you come to a chain link fence.
Follow the fence as the road curves right and you see a double drive thru
gate and a big tree. The bird has been working the fence area near this
gate. Yesterday afternoon he was flycatching and sitting in the sun along
the fence, giving great looks!
