Hi All,
Checked the WTP today and found both the teal and whistling-duck, in
their usual spots. The teal is easy, the whistling-duck takes some effort.
He can disappear into the vegetation for long periods. We had about given up
and started to walk off when he finally showed. Also saw 2 Bald Eagles (ad &
imm). We looked on several occasions for the flycatcher with no luck. There
were several phoebes and the usual flock of bluebirds about, so who knows.
Before the snow he was using the area sparingly, and only seen for brief
periods. I'll be surprised if he is found again. I'll for sure post if he
does!
