Hi there!

I saw the post about the BC hummer, and remembered that there had been a BC
hummer wintering over in NC, either last year or the year before, and I wondered
if this might be the same bird.

That led me to wonder, what is the lifespan of a hummingbird? I had thought that
the rule of nature was; the faster a creature's metabolism, the shorter the
lifespan. So hummers should have a fairly short life, right? Does anyone know?
