Hello y'all,
Lacking anything better to do, I went back to the sewage pond this
afternoon (draw your own conclusions) to see if I could find the Wilson's
Warbler again, mabye coax him into a photo op. Sho 'nuff, he showed up in
the same area with the same associates at about the same time as yesterday.
He wasn't too enthused about sitting still, though.
Interestingly, the plant operator (with whom I was chatting when I
first saw the bird yesterday) came out to where I was standing and asked if
I had found the little bird again today. Oh, did I mention the gent had
binos hanging about his neck this afternoon? I told him yesterday this bird
should be down in Mexico or Panama or someplace not so ridiculously
winter-like...when he got home, his wife told him the same thing. hehehehe
We had great looks from about 50 ft. with binos and my scope. Too cool...
Couldn't relocate the Nashville, but found Cedar Waxwings and Tree
Swallows today. There was also this suspicious looking sparrow....jeez,
guess I'll have to go birding tomorrow, too.
Cheers,
Gary
