Yes, on 17 Nov 1991 I saw one individual Cedar Waxwing in a flock at
Mason Farm whose tail tip was red instead of yellow. I posted about it
on BIRDCHAT and got back some responses that it's fairly common. But I
haven't noticed another one since. Unfortunately I seem not to have
saved the responses, but I think some people claimed that there is
evidence of a dietary effect.
