Hi folks;
Saw some nice hawks on my way to work in Franklin Tuesday. Saw 6 on the
drive to and from. 3 Red Tailed, and 3 Red Shouldered. Someone wrote about
the hawks along the Interstates, and these were. Haven't seen any road
killed hawks thankfully.
Went to Clyde today. Got lunch and took it to Lake Junaluska. Lake is drawn
down for the winter, and mostly frozen. The "Motley" ducks were there
(Mallard crosses and re-crosses) and some Canadas - one ate from my hand.
There were some gorgeous Hooded Mergs on the open portion of the lake. Hope
things pick up around here - my feeder even has no business, except for the
Squirrels.....
