Carolinabirders,
While doing some county birding on 29 December 2000, I found a
Western Kingbird in Hemingway, Williamsburg County, SC. The
bird was in a neighborhood on the east side of town.
From the intersection of SC Hwy 261 and SC Hwy 41/51 in
Hemingway, continue east on SC 261 (maybe a couple of blocks)
and turn left onto SC 34. This road curves right and then I believe it
was the next road or two on the left where I turned into the
neighborhood and found the bird. It was very active flying all around
the neighborhood and being chased by the local mockingbirds.
Good Birding,
Lex Glover
Lugoff, SC
