Hi there!
I just realized I should probably post the answer to my question about the
double meaning of the name James Bond. Most folks who replied knew it
already, but in case anyone didn't...
Ian Fleming, creator of 007, chose the name of his super spy from the cover
of a Birding Book, Birds of The West Indies (I think) by an ornithologist
named... you guessed it... James Bond!
Bonus question! What well-known children's story did Ian Fleming also write?
It was later made into a movie bearing little resemblance to the original
book.
