Folks,
Today I worked next to downtown Winston-Salem at University Place on S.
Third st. All day I heard a Field Sparrow singing, seemed an odd place for
one to be.
Later on I heard this odd repeated very tinny call in a large oak tree.
Having no binocs I`m thinking it`s the size of a RS Hawk, but the call was
so strange. My co worked joined me in trying to figure this bird out when
in flies a crow, he says to me that`s the biggest crow I ever saw. It edged
up and appeared to be courting the other bird. After my co workers remarks
it became clear to me this was an odd calling Raven. This is my second W-S
Raven now the first a few years ago at Baptist Hospital.
