Horry Cty Landfill, 2/14

Hi y'all,
Jack Peachey and I cruised out to the landfill for a brief visit this
afternoon. While there were a ton of gulls there, most appeared to be the
usual suspects. A Lesser Black-backed stood out in the herd. No
"white-winged" varieties were found. Other birds were an adult Bald Eagle
that stirred things up whenever it decided to soar by, and 5 Canada geese in
a small pond near the dump site.
This past fall, Boat-tailed grackles appeared at the site for the first
time that any of us regular "dumpsters" can recall, and continue to hang
around there.
The LBBG makes 156 for the list thus far.

Cheers,
Gary
