Lk. Don T. Howell ducks, and North Meck. birds 4/1



Today, 4/1, my father Ken and I birded many areas in North Mecklenburg county 
and southern Cabarrus County. Birds were overall pretty quiet except for an 
awesome day at Don T. Howell.

at Shimpock Rd: ducks were up Shimpock Rd. aways

BLUE WINGED TEAL-36 - this duck is a first for Lk. Don T. Howell

Latta Plantation:
Osprey
Barn Swallow

Had a GREATER YELLOWLEGS at Cowan's Ford ponds, and an adult fem. NORTHERN 
HARRIER, sapsucker, gnatcatcher and a shrike at the prairie at Latta 
Plantation.
