Re: portable cd, mp3 player with speakers

Last spring we invested in a Mini-Disc reorder (Sony), and hooked it up
to a $11 or $12 RadioShack speaker. It is really handy. I use it to
record birdsong, as well as for playback (Cornell's Cerulean Warbler
Atlas Project, and Birds of Forested Landscapes), and to play birdsongs
for our local Audubon Bird of the Month presentations and our Beginning
Birders Workshops. I can hold the setup in one hand, and it is easy to
find the relevant tracks. Also, I understand that tour leaders in Europe
are going over to the MD format.
