The following are highlights of the 3 hour Saturday birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw Park on US highway 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry
Nugent 8:30am. A small fee is charged. For more information on our weekly
Wednesday and Saturday birdwalks or other park programs click on
www.ccprc.com.

64 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day. The most interesting were:
15 Anhingas, 1 Yellow-crowned Night Heron, 1 male Mallard with 5 Mottled
Ducks, 6 Mississippi Kites, 4 Swallow-tailed Kites, 4 adult and 1 baby
Ospreys, 1 King Rails, 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 4 Wood Pewees, 4 Acadian
Flycatchers, 1 Willow Flycatcher, 2 Wood Thrushes, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 1
Yellow-throated Vireo, 20 Northern Parula Warblers, 2 Yellow-throated
Warblers, 2 Prothonotary Warblers, 3 Blue Grosbeaks, 2 Indigo Buntings, 4
Painted Buntings, and 20 Northern Orioles.
