Visited the pastures on North Fork road today and had an unusual sighting
there. Through the upper part of the pasture there's a split rail fence and
creeping along the rail were two Yellow Throated Warblers. Apparently
looking for spiders. I didn't know they would forage that far from trees.
Also heard a Barred owl calling in the day at the pond at the end of North
Fork road.
Got home to a nice flock of mixed warblers. Must be the year for finding
Wilson's warbler. Also had:
Tennessee Warbler
Canada Warbler
American Redstarts
Black & White Warbler
and one other warbler that might have been an Orange Crown but didn't get a
good enough look to tell.
Hummers are starting to get very agressive, saw one chase off a blue jay!
