Nature Conservancy Birding Weekends on Outerbanks

FYI

The North Carolina Nature Conservancy sponsors four fall and/or winter
birding weekends each year on the Outerbanks of North Carolina. The
weekends are designed for fun birding for a mostly non-expert group.
Registration fees go to the North Carolina Nature Conservancy. This year
the dates are Oct 31-Nov 2, Nov 14-16, Dec 5-7 and Jan 16-18.

Participants stay at the First Colony Inn, an historic bed and breakfast inn
at Nags Head, and bird all day Saturday and a half day Sunday, with evening
programs Friday night and Saturday night. The birding is mostly from Oregon
Inlet and Pea Island down to Cape Hatteras Point in Buxton.

Volunteer leaders for the trips are John and Paula Wright (Oct and Dec
weekends) and Eric and Celia Dean (Nov and Jan weekends).

For more information about the trips, visit the First Colony Inn web site,
http://www.firstcolonyinn.com . Click on Birding Weekends. All weekends
currently still have openings.
