The
Enterprise came into port from the continent on the 21st, having transported 31
Army pursuit planes of the Curtiss-Hawk P36 classification. She immediately
returned to the continent; (there is a rumor that she went on to Manila). I
have observed the following ships in Pearl Harbor:

battleships, two of the New Mexico, two of the Pennsylvania, one of the
Oklahoma, and one of the California type.

heavy cruisers, two of the New Orleans, and two of the Portland class.

light cruisers, three of the Honolulu and four of the Omaha type.
The
aircraft carrier Yorktown.

destroyers.
3
destroyer tenders for those destroyers.
1
auxiliary ship.

hospital ships.

submarines.
Have
forwarded by mail in code form to Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles and
Seattle.
